New code: Submissions judged only on content developed during hackathon period: Friday 6:30pm to Saturday 5pm. A note on packages: while we encourage the use of packages to save time, in judging, greater empahsis will be placed on original code, especially for visualizations.
Code review: All code must be submitted to a repository on Github to verify time of edits.
Presentation: All teams must deliver a 3:30 minute presentation, followed by 1 mins of Q&A from the judges and audience.
Content: All submissions must be related to the Hackathon theme areas.
Hardware: External hardware is allowed (e.g. Wifi lighbulbs, arduinos, etc.), but projects will be judged only on code or developments which occur during the Hackathon.
In the event of any dispute, the decision of Hackathon organizers will be final.
All attendees, sponsors, partners, volunteers and staff at our hackathon are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organisers will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all participants to ensure a safe environment for everybody.
Our hackathon is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, previous hackathon attendance or computing experience (or lack of any of the aforementioned). We do not tolerate harassment of hackathon participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate at any hackathon venue, including hacks, talks, workshops, parties, social media and other online media. Hackathon participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the hackathon without a refund (if applicable) at the discretion of the hackathon organisers.
Alcohol will be present at the Pitch Session. Any minors found consuming alcohol will be expelled from the hackathon without a refund.
